Now a little more personal stuff about my obession

My youngest son, decided after 9-11 to joined the Army and became a M1Abrams tank gunner and was shipped to Iraq , when the war first started. He spent about 13 months there and turned 21 over there . I can't express the toll that took on me and my family but we are very proud of him . My daughter was having a very difficult time handling this they are very close so we enrolled her in glass blowing classes at Urban Glass in New York City. She truly loved it and it kept her mind occupied. Twice a week she would ride the bus from Pa to New york to class it's about an 2 1/2 hours from here. Well on days I had off we go in early do some shopping and go to dinner . Then take a cab over to Urban Glass while she was in class. I could watch her and the lampworkers through a clear glass wall . Oh I fell in love with it watching the dance the lampworkers would do with the hot glass and flame. But at time we could only afford to pay for her classes . My son came home and was back at FortCarson , for about 10 months then we got word his unit was shipping back out for Iraq. My heart was broken , he left and for next 13months I was scared to death , I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep and God forbid you listen to the news or read the paper . His unit losted 29 soldiers that tour and he earned two purple hearts. I thank God everynight that he came home because his first Sargent and battle buddy didn't. During that time my darling husband bought me a torch and set it up and I started lampworking it took me away from my fears , gave time to pray for him and all the other service men and women , it gave me peace . My son is now home , married to a wonderful girl and I have a beautiful granddaughter Amanda Jade. I have been making beads ever since . I don't think there is nothing going to stop me now . I play and make beautiful beads almost everyday I am off work . I have taken some classes from some great glass artists, That I will tell you later about them. Pray for our troops and their love ones they really need your support. thanks for listen Lou
